Sure. Suppose you have a close-relative (perhaps a grandmother) living in Oakbrook (near Chicago) Illinois, and you live in Los Angeles. And, let's assume that she, unfortunately, is suffering from a terminal illness with a life-expectancy of perhaps 3 to 4 months. Even with that information, it would typically be very difficult to plan ahead for travel-related costs in the event she eventually 'passes' and you're notified. On the other hand, using the services of Bereavement Hospitality Services, you, as our client, would have ALREADY Pre-Planned for that inevitable event, and once you notified us of your loss, the following would occur: We would verify your loss by contacting either the funeral-home, hospital or other entity holding your Loved One, (in this example, a local Nursing Home), and once the loss is verified (usually very quickly) we would have you tell us how soon you wanted to depart. As in most cases, especially when dealing with the airlines, we would make every effort to ticket you using 'E-tickets'. These are electronically created tickets that allow you to go directly to the ticket-counter of the airline you are booked on, present proper identification, and you are ticketed at that time for your flight. After acquiring your tickets we would then make and confirm accommodations in your 'destination-city' (in this case, the Holiday Inn, Oakbrook). And finally, we would reserve a mid-size car (per your request) for your pick-up and use upon your arrival at your 'destination-city'.
Your airline tickets are already paid for, your accommodations at the Holiday Inn are already paid for (for three days), and your auto rental is already paid for (three days).
